Description

:iconmonsteracademy:

I'm backkkk ;u

Name: Luarant Nero Extractum

Age: 19 He's a baby

Height: Human: 6'2" Hydra: 14' Long (from base of the neck), 7' Tall  (From base of the neck, starting where the head would become erect (as pictured))
Head to tip of the tail is 21' (He's a growing baby)

Monster type/species: Hydra (Sea/Oceanic Type)

Grade: Freshmen

Glamor item: Cross necklace

Favorite class: Monster Physical Education

Worst class: Expressive Arts

Current Classes: None Currently

Passed Classes: None Currently

Current Points: None Currently

Natural weapons: Claws, Fangs, Poison (from his fangs and blood), Water, Demi form (his legs become serpentine, aka, he loses them and gains a more naga appearance). His true form, is also a weapon, durable, and formidable. The full body has three heads and a long tail in the back, he’s an incredible swimmer. Chop of one head, he will gain another three (at least for a certain time period). Currently can only survive a fight if there is one head left. It takes a considerable amount of time to truly grow them back at the time being. One head only remains after the three grow back, however, two only stay for a few moments.

Trained weapons: Luarant is highly trained in many weapons uses. In his family background (as seen in his Bio) he was not raised to be walked on. Swords, daggers, poison making, guns, etc. He attempts to steer clear in using his monstrous abilities/attributes. His human façade is something he strives to keep up.

Weakness: As a Hydra, Luarant is invulnerable to death by decapitation, and his poisonous blood lethal, however, there are still ways to defeat him. Multiple wounds throughout the body will severely weaken him, when a head is decapitated, using fire to stop the regrowth for a period leaves open space to chop off more at a time. So, all in all, he despises fire. Another weakness would be the fact he cannot control his other side with out the aid of his seals; it can easily be let lose. His other side is completely wild, untrained and savage. He has no recollection or thought here. When tactics are used, death could come swift. Along with this, anything that revolves around fire, but more so lightening can be extremely devastating in a battle.

SKILLS:

Major Skills:

*Water Manipulation: Luarant withholds the ability to control and use water to his own personal will. Shaping it and using it to his benefit, he is still young in the aspects of using this technique. He has not put much effort into this just yet, seeing that it came of little use to him while training to become a Hunter. He has fair control of moving it and using it as a means of surprising his target, but other than that, it isn’t exactly his first choice in practice just yet.

*Heightened Regeneration: Being a Hydra, the ability to regrow/heal is something that comes with the species he was bred into. However, even with this gift, it is still growing and not exactly completely capable of healing any wound. As a student/young adult he is still learning how to hone this ability.

*Shape Shifting: Currently, Luarant can only shift to his demi-form. However, he only shifts to this form for swimming, and does not use it for combat purposes. His full hydra form is completely off limits, set in place by not only his family, but by his own standards. The hydra form is currently uncontrollable, and is partly the reason why he is at the school, to learn how to hone this part of himself. He never reveals his monstrous side to anyone.

Minor Skills:

*Memorization/Analytical: Can remember things the first time, and process these things to come up with a person’s weaknesses/attributes that could point in the direction of victory for himself. Very good at creating solutions from problems.

*Fighting: Luarant is capable of outlasting his opponent in combat due to his training back in his hometown. He is gifted in his fighting precision and follow through. He is able to read opponent’s moves, analyze them and use the flaws to his advantage after watching his enemy closely.

*Serpent speech: Being a superior snake in the hierarchy of such, Luarant can communicate with his fellow brethren. He is usually seen with a snake or even speaking with one, when it seems that no words were exchanged. He’s not sure how this is a beneficial ability yet.

Personality: Luarant is a man that is complex in the sense that his emotions are hard to read. Raised in a human/hunter setting, he is extremely loyal to his family, his love for them and humans is beyond anything that he can remotely describe by words. He is usually seen as arrogant towards monsters, beings that he was raised to despise, and clearly marks the boundaries between them and himself. His haughty nature is due to his pride as a hunter, and his hatred towards most creatures due to their savagery towards the human race he so avidly defends. He is not an affectionate man, however can be when he is vulnerable to people he truly cares for, and completely ruthless when defending, or protecting his own. He has no qualms killing monsters, and would gladly do it if he could at the academy. Luarant is a hard character to win over, although he can be seemingly kind, his agenda may not be the same. Although once trust is won, he is the best of comrades.

Character's Background:
Luarant was born into a strange-case-scenario, much that differed from the original case in being. A rare creature indeed, his birth was something that had not been seen by the ones who had found him, in many years. Taken in by these people, they quickly bound him in a human form, forcing the cross necklace on him to make him appear to be ‘human’ in all ways possible. Now as a human child, he was given to a pair of Hunters that could not have children of their own. Given a task and raised in a society of men and women whose job it was to hunt down anything that was not human, Luarant was forced to train harder than any of the other youth that was in the same batch as he. Bullied and even looked down upon, it was common knowledge that he was the freak of the faction he resided in. Despite this, his parents, kind and loving towards him did not allow for his life to be entirely miserable. They tried as best as they could to provide him with a normal life, regardless of what he was, they loved him fiercely and continue to do so.

When Luarant became a young man, the seals that had held his powers in check began to leak some of his abilities. Much so with water, his ability to hear serpents, his unnatural source of strength and power…it was seen as a threat by most of the others that were in his same troop. So, to teach him a lesson, one of the boys, named Vincent, whose father had been present at the finding of Luarant, decided to lead several others on an all out offensive on the boy who was not like them. With his silver hair and purple/crimson eyes. As he was beaten, he forced himself to live by the words his father spoke, to never strike against a human, and in consequence, he was savagely wounded, but in the process, his blood had gotten on the boy who had lead the party of others. The blood, as acidic and poisonous as it was, had somehow gotten into his mouth, in which, forced the boy to be bed ridden for weeks. The bully was lucky, however, that the poison was not as lethal as it was when he would later mature.

He visited him, even so, many times in the hospital, thinking that it was his fault that this had all happened. Within the hospital, he finally was able to speak to the other, who had seen his tears for the first time, bowing his head and apologizing hundreds of times, even though it was all Vincent’s fault that this had happened to himself. He could see just how genuine and human Luarant was from then. Seeing him for the first time, rather than a monster his father had lead him to believe. The two, then became best friends and helped each other out in many situations. Inseparable, and a team that couldn’t be beaten, the two boys were seen as the next best. With things looking as brightly as ever, Luarant was given a task that only he could look into. That only he could execute. To, attend the Monster Academy, learn to control his abilities while all the while, learning all he could about each and ever monster he could come across. Of course, no one better was suited and he accepted, promising to return to his family and his faction with everything they wanted. He would finally prove just what sort of asset he truly was.

EXAMPLE:

The journey to the neutral city of Kairous, was nothing short of a chore; even the weather above seemed to drown out the weeping moans of the tremulous fallings of pelting rain. Drop by drop, did the waters become a plethora of drift. Even still the man that road adrift seemed to find his destination quite easily, his day here only personal means of finding some items that would help build and complete some of his weapons of choice. Stepping from his black Mustang, he gave door a gentle slam, the engine’s purr went silent, and the lights dimmed. Coming to this city always seemed to be rather precarious, but its neutrality would hold, their own governing force wouldn’t allow for any sort of battle or firing off to be allowed. It was all so quaint that they were so on top of things here. It gave no room for opportunity to take the damn Supernaturals out. Not even did he get the very chance to take a swing, throw a dagger-he was left with saving personal vendettas to himself, and even send a fine greeting of , “Nice day huh?” Such small talk did nothing for him, his light eyes as bright as the glowing moon that hid behind the blanketing clouds, but as deadly as a serpent’s. Known for his lethality, even at such a young age, the boy was considered a prodigy of figuring out weaknesses and using them to the utmost advantage of the entailed job of the Hunter. His family and his brothers and sisters, men and women he had grown up with were called Venators. Feared and loathed by the creatures that lurked about, scuttling to the first mound of flesh possible, and revered by humans to be saviors and protectors.

Despite this, Kairous supported peace and did not allow such animosity in their walls. It was hard to find the right sort of weapons parts here, but when they were found, it made the trade so much sweeter. There was nothing more thrilling to him than fighting, earning the killing blow that crushed bone and choked life. He was born and raised thinking that the Supernatural kind was nothing but fodder for the very grass at which he tread over. His strides brought him to a small shop, an older man behind the counter greeted him warmly, knowing just what he was here for. “Ah! Drakon! I see you’re here for your order. ‘Bout time, kiddo…thought I was gonna turn into a fossil ‘ere waitin’ for ya.” The jolly man’s gut hung over the counter, his beard as long as the stringy hair that fell to about his shoulders. “Got et all ready ‘fer ya.” Drakon have him a nod, his smirk giving the man a grin of his own, “Oh think it’s funny eh? Makin’ ‘dis ol’fart wait? Heh. Children these days.” A case was pushed over the counter, his eye holding something of an excited bit of jovial tone.

“Somethin’ new huh?” Drakon answered finally, his voice as cool as his demeanor, it held no sense of warm air about it, but the man he spoke to, knew better. The boy was just distant, his ability to cozy up to anyone was lacking, and the fact that he was in the line of work he was, death was more common than friendship. So, closed off as he was, the very fact that a grin formed on his lips moments prior made the elder just as happy. “Well, I wouldn’t expect anythin’ less Ghret.” Taking the case the slipped a bit of money in an envelope to him, the exchange made. Ghret chuckled a bit, and looked proudly as his work was carried off, “You take care kid.” He called after him, knowing that there would always be something waiting to take the young lad down. There were prayers and luck to be sewn.

Drakon opened the driver’s side door after planting the case in his trunk. The car roared to life, its engine revved as he began to pull out. Still only twenty, the child seemed to enjoy such simple pleasures of such now and again. The rain hadn’t stopped and the drive back seemed to call for something to eat. It was tedious, but his disgust for fast food forced the action of him pulling into a small café. With the coming to a stop, he checked around his surroundings to be sure that only humans were about him, nothing else. He would not be able to sit still if a damned monster sat four or five meters away from him. That would surely drop an appetite of any normal human being. Noticing no one, he let the engine sleep yet again and got back out of the car. There wouldn’t be any harm if he got something right before leaving this tainted town, so, he figured there was nothing to be anxty of. Coming through the door, the rain that had caught his shoulder dripped from his black leather jacket that he wore on numerous occasions. Peeling it off he stuck it on a hook beside the front door, obvious for such uses. He was silent up until his order, the clerk at the counter as bubbly as could be; her personality seemed to make the Hunter’s skin crawl, unsure of her humanity or inhumanity. It wouldn’t surprise him if she wasn’t a human, but he wasn’t allowed to think thoughts like that here. Damn neutral zone. Make him much too willing to fight back in his home city. “Thanks.” He mused while taking his seat, noticing only two others in the café as lost as he was it seemed. Heh. At least he’d get something out of this.
